Role: AWS Architect

Length: 6 months

Location: Hybrid - 2 to 3 days on site in Knutsford per week

Salary: £97,000 per annum

About the role:

• One of our global client teams in the technology industry is looking for an AWS Architect. You will have end-to-end event delivery expertise which will include sourcing, negotiating, contracting, programme planning, on-site event management, budget management and final reconciliation. You will work on a variety of programmes simultaneously and serve as key liaison between client stakeholders and vendors.
• You are comfortable in managing external vendors and suppliers, including contract management, and can work individually or as part of a wider team.
• Excellent knowledge of AWS, Security principles for enterprise level application, Access and authentication patterns, good knowledge of cryptography. Docker, container and 2 tier architecture.
• Analysis of problem statement, Own the technical solution, provide an end to end assurance that satisfies business needs and ensuring that any developments align to the overall Banks strategy.
  
• Analyse applications and underline systems to understand the data flow and business logic.
• Define architectural software solutions for a portfolio of projects in alignment with architectural standards of client organization
• Proven background liaising with senior stakeholders to influence their thinking. Stakeholder management at various forums like Domain/project meeting, EA forums where various architects interact and challenge your design (Must)
• Provide architecture and technology leadership to delivery teams. Be the technology expert to whom that business area trusts to realise their aspirations as to how they can best drive their business forward in helping our customers
• Risk management and design associated security/controls. (Must)
• Technical Debt management
• Experienced in migrating application from Monolithic architecture to domain driven Microservices architecture (must)
• Low level design knowledge
• Microservices, SOA, Java Design patterns, EDA, CQRS
• Hands on experience in any of tools like EA, StarUML, Drawio, JIRA, etc.
• Understanding of Network diagrams (Good to have)
• TOGAF or any other Enterprise architect certification (Good to have)
• AWS Experience (Must have)
• Process automation (Good to have)
• Web Services using protocols like Rest API's Standards(must), SOAP, RabbitMQ
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
• Good understanding of Kafka, Camel, IBM Integration bus (IIB), API management tools (APIGEE, Kong, etc.), Data Power, T24, TSYS, MongoDB
• Good Understanding of IDAM, OLTP, OLAP.
• Understanding of SSO concepts
• Experience with multi-tier (App/Web/DB) server architecture
• Experience in Financial domain is a must

MUST HAVE Skills: AWS, Domain and Event driven architect, Stakeholder management (very important), Risk Management, fraud and security standards, Application Enterprise Architecture standards

Technology knowledge: Java J2EE, API/Integrations standards, Kafka, Mongodb, IIB, oracle, T24,TSYS, Kong, APIGEE, Visio/Drawio, security principles

Banking domain knowledge

GOOD TO HAVE skills: AWS, Network & infrastructure, DevOps, IAM, Spring boot, Spring Integration and Camel, JIRA, Confluence, Azure
