Carrier Interface Specialist (EDI Specialist) provides technical support during and after implementation for healthcare electronic data interchange applications. In this role, the individual responds to customer inquiries regarding EDI issues with enrollment, brokerage feeds and payroll. This role is responsible for conducting analysis of EDI transactions, ensuring all requirements are complete and accurate prior to be handed over to development. This role is responsible for scheduling and daily monitoring of all EDI jobs. This role ensures that customer specific milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets. Requires a bachelor's degree of specialty or equivalent experience.

Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

. Ensure project deadlines are met by working effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

. Ensure all customer requirements are clearly defined prior to handing off to development

. Scheduling and monitoring all EDI jobs

. Responding to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Qualifications:

. Strong working knowledge of all Health Care data exchange formats (eg 834)

. Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office

. Highly proficient in all aspects of Visual Basic

. Strong work ethic and attention to tight schedules

. Strong verbal and written communication skills

. Ability to work with minimal supervision

. Ability to multi-task

. Strong attention to detail

. Ability to take the initiative and desire to learn new skills

. Proven problem-solver

. Ability to analyze business needs and either develop new supporting business processes or adapt existing ones

. Work well in a collaborative team setting
