The following is a brief description of responsibilities to be performed by the DC Operations Supervisor for second shift (3:30 pm - 11:00 pm).


. Manages and coordinates the activities of the warehouse personnel. Hires, provides training, evaluates, disciplines and terminates associates within area of accountability.

. Prepares work schedule and expedites workflow within the department. Assigns additional warehouse duties to staff as necessary.

. Administer DC and RSC Policies and Procedures in a fair and consistent manner.

. Regularly reviews operational procedures to ensure best practices to achieve department goals related to productivity, cost per unit and accuracy. Recommends changes as necessary.

. Accountable for the daily, weekly and monthly planning, preparation and performance of department.

. Utilize computer (WSS/PkMS/JDA/Crystal Reports) to monitor progress, expedite and update aging, prioritize visual set merchandise using MIRF forms, Pending Put Away/Pull/Sort Summary reports as well as the Priority Log and ASN in area of responsibility.

. Train and coach Leads within area of accountability. Provide leadership direction as necessary and monitor their interaction with hourly associates to ensure compliance with company policies. Establish individual goals and objectives for Leads that are consistent with those of the Distribution Center.

. Work with Leads to train and motivate associates to ensure procedural compliance maximizing efficiency and accuracy.

. Responsible for accurate, efficient, safe and rapid processing in all production areas.

. Monitor individual, team and departmental performance daily. Compare performance to previous year, reporting results and providing feedback.

. Recommend continuous improvement of departmental processes.

. Model behavior of leads and associates through personal behavior.

. Review and manage personnel time records and attendance calendars on a daily basis.

. Research process failures, recommend and implement corrective action as necessary.

. Write and administer performance evaluations for hourly staff annually. Write personal self appraisal including business results and accomplishments as they relate to goals and objectives. Recommend goals and objectives for the year ahead.

. Ensure that proper housekeeping requirements are maintained within area of accountability.

. As a member of the DC Leadership Team, be responsible for the overall safety of associates with the facility and safeguard all company assets.

. Proficiency with MS Office and WMS programs.

. Ability to effectively utilize basic office equipment.


. High School Diploma required.

. 1 year industry specific or transferable core skills.


. Excellent interpersonal skills

. Proficient in English

. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

. Excellent written/grammatical and verbal communication skills.


. Ability to manage dynamic workload with desired results.

. Ability to identify inefficiencies in work area and apply procedural improvements to improve performance.

. Strong understanding of Logistics and Distribution operations and challenges in a retail organization.

. Familiarity with warehouse environment and procedures.

. Ability to work in high pace/high volume/mechanized environment.
